Past participle agrees with DO when DO comes before the verb in the passé composé

Agreement of past participle
The apple that I ate

Past participle agrees with a direct object that comes before a verb or with an inversion question where the object comes before the verb

No agreement if the direct object comes after the verb
No agreement with indirect objects
