2 - Video Analysis Flashcards
How does shutter speed affect image sharpness?
No shutter or a slow shutter speed results in blurred images if the movement is fast
What does shutter speed mean?
How quickly an image is taken
What is the relationship between the camera and the object distance?
The further the camera is from the object, the greater chance of a parallax error
How does shutter speed affect the brightness of an image?
When shutter speed increases, the image is sharper, but less light can get in so the image is darker
What is the frame rate per second for high speed video?
250-10,000 frames per second
What is a video?
a 2D representation of a 3D screen
What are the limitations of standard video analysis?
Image quality
Shutter speeds are limited due to sensitivity
Time resolution
Accuracy with which you can measure fast movement is limited
When are multiple cameras required?
To view all planes of movement
What frame rate should be used for someone that is walking?
25-50 Hertz
What frame rate should be used for someone that is running or jumping?
50-100 Hertz
What frame rate should be used for someone that is doing a tennis serve?
200-500 Hertz
