the SCALAR product equation.
The time/distance when a vector is closest to a stationary point is when the line is PERPENDICULAR. And thus 90 degrees.
The scalar product uses cos(x), and when perpendicular cos(90) which equals 0.
Therefore the cross product of the two lines must be 0.
