A
- internal and universal on the sense that we all have it, personal in the sense it is different in each person
- the feeling and intuition towards meaning, purpose and happiness and then the attempt to fulfil it
- internal attempt to raise our consciousness

- religion is a set of dogmas, beliefs, rituals, practices and of membership
- the act of following and participating in these things

- spiritual experiences can occur in any context and are not necessarily limited to religious traditions
- religious experiences are not always spiritual experiences
- both derive from the beliefs held by people and a persons world view
- being spiritual means you don’t have to belong to a religion
