TEST
What factors of time and a place shape those who live within them?
Social conditions, Economic conditions, Intellectual conditions, and Cultural realities
What is Presentism? And why should avoid it?
Presentism is utilizing present ideations and beliefs to examine and interpret the past.
This tendency for Presentism in history may inhibit our understanding on history and how people or the way of life was and acted, which reshapes history in different perspectives (e.g. drawing conclusions).
What is Stereotyping?
Generalizing an entire group or peoples at the time based on narrow examples or opinionated thinking.
Why should we take different historical perspectives into consideration, inferring how people felt and thought in the past.
Different historical actors have diverse perspectives on the events in which they are involved. Exploring these viewpoints is key to understanding historical events.
