As a child Grendel innocently explores his confined world. He is brought into adulthood when he is attacked by a bill and realizes that the world is chaotic and governed without reason. Grendel asks “in a world with no given meaning, how Gould govern his/her life”. Grendel observes humans and eventually dies by the hands of Beowulf
