What is a ruler used for?
Measurement(Length)
What is a measuring tape used for?
Measurement(Length)
What is a thermometer used for?
measurement (Temperature)
What is a measuring cup used for?
Measurement (volume of liquids)
What is a spring scale used for?

What kind of units does a spring scale measure in?
new tons
What is a magnifying box?
Some thing like a magnifying glass
What is a microscope?
I tool that makes small objects appear larger
What is a balance?
A tool that measures the amount of matter in an object (the objects mass)
How do use a spring scale?
Like this
What are science tools that help you observe objects?
Hand lens,magnifying box, forceps
What are science tools that help you handle solids or liquids?
Dropper,measuring cup
What are science tools that help you measure solids or liquids?
Ruler,thermometer,tape measure,dropper measuring cup,balance
What is the difference between a spring scale and a balance?
A spring scale measures weight and a balance measures mass( we don’t use a balance to measure weight because it is easier to use a spring scale and a balance isn’t accurate for weight)
What does investigation mean?
A procedure that is carried out to gather data about an object or event
What does inquiry mean?
An organized way to gather information and answer questions
What does conclusion mean?
What you learned after you finished your experiment and what you learned from your results , Decide if hypothesis was supported, fright conclusion in full sentences
__________To gather information about things and events
Vocab word
Investigation to get her info about things and events
Use_______To organize the way you gather information
Vocab word
Use inquiry to organize the way you gather information
use___________to test your hypothesis
Vocab word
Use experiments to test your hypothesis
What is the scientific method?
The steps to follow to an experiment (observe, hypothesis, experiment, results, conclusions)
What is an observation?
To make an observation, I have to observe a natural event using five senses Then form a question about it, then write down all my prior knowledge about the topic and then research it
What is a problem?
Something wrong or something you want to research
What is a hypothesis?
An educated guess on a possibility for a problem, must be a statement that can be tested, write in complete sentences.
