Smell, touch, or taste them. (I hope this is obvious!!!)
Why is it forbidden to eat or drink in the lab? (except water in the desk area)
The food, drink, or your hands could be contaminated with chemicals which you then ingest.
Before pouring any chemicals down the sink, what should you do?
Ask the teacher if it’s okay to do so.
What must we make sure stays away from electrical sockets?
water (or any liquids)
When something come into contact with your hands, you should…
wash your hands.
What should you do when there is a small splash or spill on your bench
What about larger spills?
Clean it up safely with a paper towel.
Report larger spills to your teacher.
