The south African communist party, the government feared that communists were going to take over south africa and by banning the organisation in attempt of doing so as a resut the cpsa was declared illegal in 1950, in 1953 the part relaunched itself as the south African communist party
What is the Anc
The anc was founded in 1912, the Anc was a resistance movement which resisted the apartheid regime.the organisation aimed to bring africans together as one people. during the apartheid the ANC was to embark on mass action such as civil disobediance,strikes and boycotts. they were formerly known as the national congress party but changed to the anc in 1933
What did the Anc launch?
on 26 June 1952 ANC launched to defiance campaign, groups of towns and city’s across south Africa set out to break the apartheid laws and more then 8000 people went to jail for defying these laws
