The people and the state acting together with a common purpose, which necessarily meant a restriction on individual rights.
What is socialism?
The movement for the creation of social equality by means of social equality and social regulation

Common agreement between the parties on major issues and policies

The difference between the cost of imports and the profits from exports

The period of tension between the USSR and USA and their allies 1945-1991

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A defensive alliance formed in 1949

Gross National Product. The annual total value of goods produced and services provided by Britain at home added to the profits from overseas trade.
Inflation
A decline in the value of money, which meant Britain had to spend more dollars to buy imports.
