Idea that America is a land of opportunity, freedom + equality for everyone. All people can achieve and live a good life if they work hard to succeed.

Rapid growth in various sectors. Often followed by a period of ‘busy’.
Stock/Share Definition
A certificate which entitles its owner to a percentage of a company’s income and assets.
Laissez-faire Definition
No government interference in business and keeps taxes low.
Assembly Line
A series of workers in a factory by which a succession of identical is progressively assembled.
Credit
People didn’t have to pay up front but they could pay for the product over time.
Knowledge
Lots of new inventions were created in the 1920s and there was new technology.
Position of USA
The country came out of WW1 in a strong position so they could advance with their plans of the American Dream.
Advertisements
Companies spent money on advertisements so that more people caught wind of whatever product they were selling and they would buy it.
New Consumer Goods
Cars, Fridges, Radios and other things became popular in the 1920s and everyone wanted them.
Tariff
Taxed any imported goods
Share Confidence
People bought lots of shares as the stock market became more popular.
Isolationism
When a country chooses to isolate itself from other countries. USA did this after WW1.
