How do you adjust toe/heel wear
Decrease back lash or move crown gear
Moving crown gear closer to the pinion moves the wear to where?
Move the wear to the toe of the gear

The pinion gear is to far away from the crown

Move the pinion closer to the crown gear

The pinion gear is to far into the crown gear

Non hunting and partial hunting gears

What must be present with helical gears?
Thrust washers or bearings
Is the concave side of the gear the coast or the drive side?
Coast. Convex is the drive side
Why are non hunting gears timed
Because they have a distinctive wear pattern
