It meant that the estates could come together and openly criticise the King and the ancien regime for the first time.

It meant loss of control for Louis XVI however this was limited as the King refused to accept them until the storming of the bastille

What significance did the storming of the bastille have?
The national guard and the Sans-Culottes formed. Becker was reinstated and the king finally accepted the National Assembly

What was the significance of the great fear?
The peasants put pressure on the National Assembly and Feudalism was eventually ended with the August Decrees and Declaration of the rights of man (DORM)
What was the significance of the August decrees/DORM?
Abolition of feudal rights and the end of the ancien regime. Ended the tithe and gabelle and removed the system of venality
