A baseBand radio s is a device in a network that manages all radio functions in a phone
What are PRI/PRL
updates
PRL (Preferred roam List)
- These updates tell your phone which tower to connect to by using CDMA(code Divison Multiple Access)
- Usually Updated OTA(Over the Air)
PRI (product Release insturctions)
- contains product release instructions
- radio setting-ID Numbers - Network codes,country codes,etc….
- it allows to let your phone connect to right provier.
- Also OTA(Over The Air)
What is an IMEI and IMSI
it means
(IMEI) international Mobile station Equipment Identity
- identifies a Physicsl Mobile Device
- Every Phone will have One
- Can be used to allow and disallow access(by provider based on value)
IMSI(International Mobile subcriber Identity)
- identifies the user(You) of the mobile Network
- can be provisioned in the Sim Card(Meaning you can swapped phones but use the same Sim card and still have access to a cell tower
What is a VPN
It stand for VPN(Virtual Private Network)
it Creates a secure channel between devices usually build in to the phone OS but you can install a third party one aswell
