When the dispatcher receives information on the MAYDAY from the IC or they hear the MAYDAY and no response is initiated immediately by the IC for fire ground personnel, they will:

Broadcast the MAYDAY information and restrict the talk-group to Emergency Traffic Only, And additional alarm and notify the IC

automatically switch the user to the EMER talkgroup to establish a dedicated channel for direct communication with the dispatcher regarding their emergency.
