. This act is designed to prevent unauthorised access of hacking of programs or data
. Protects against unauthorised access
. Protects against unauthorised access with intent to commit a crime
. Unauthorised modification of computer material
Copyright designs and patents act 1988
. This protects the creators of books, images, music etc from having their work illegally copied
. Illegal to copy material for a friend
. Illegal to make a copy and sell it
. Illegal to use the software on a network without a license to allow this
Creative commons licensing
. This is where the author of the creative work is willing to allow people to share it
. The work can be used and shared but not copied or sold for profit
Freedom of information act 2000
. This act gives people access to data held by public authorities
. It does not give access to personal data about individual people
