Q

What is Isokinetic resistance?

A

A type of variable resistance which maintains a constant movement velocity regardless of the force applied, allowing an athlete to maximize the resistance placed on the muscle throughout the full range of motion

Q

What is accommodating resistance?

A

Strictly speaking, this is the same as isokinetic resistance, as the load accommodates forces created, keeping velocity the same during a movement. However, this is commonly used to describe variable resistance which is created through the use of chains or bands which create a variable resistance.
