  1. Conceit - love as a fever. Seeks to feed itself, but because bad feeds on bad things. These bad things are pleasing his love.
  2. In opposition is reason. Continue conceit, as doctor. Allegorically, because acting counter to reason, reason has left, so therefore love is death as it brings death - kind of hyperbolic
  3. Past cure, is mad
  4. Proven because sworn that lover is petrarchan beauty, when she is the opposite
