- In opposition is reason. Continue conceit, as doctor. Allegorically, because acting counter to reason, reason has left, so therefore love is death as it brings death - kind of hyperbolic
- Past cure, is mad
- Proven because sworn that lover is petrarchan beauty, when she is the opposite
