User can share files, peripherals, access their work from any computer, servers can control security and updates.

Increased security risk, viruses can spread easily between computers, computers connected to the server when it fails may not work, computers may run slowly if there is lots of data on the network.
What is a Client Server Network?
A client server network is when you have one main hub computer with lots of others connected to it.
What is a peer to peer network?
A network where all computers connected to it are equal.

Easier to manage security files, Easier to back up all shared data, easier to install software updates on computers.
Name one disadvantage of a client server network.
Expensive to setup and maintain, Requires IT specialists to maintain, users will loose access if server fails.

Very easy to maintain, no dependancy on a single computer, cheap to setup.
Name one disadvantage of a peer to peer network.
Network is less secure, users will need to manage their own backups, can be difficult to maintain in a well ordered state.
