14. Coordination Process Flashcards
According to MATS 1, what are the conditions in order for a radar handover to be effected?
The transfer of responsibility for an aircraft from one controller to another may be effected provided that:
- Satisfactory two-way speech communication is available between them;
- the identity has been transferred to the accepting controller, or has been established by him; and
- the accepting controller is informed of any level or vectoring instructions applicable to the aircraft at the stage of transfer.
If the route of the aircraft is not known the offering controller is to pass the observed track or reported aircraft heading to the accepting controller.
State the standard phraseology, given in MATS 1 Appendix E for Radar Handovers, along with amplifying details.

Additional information shall include transfer of control details if not coincident with transfer of communication.
