What is homeostasis?
The bodies ability to maintain a stable internal environment when there is a change outside.
What is negative feedback?
Negative feedback is feedback that cause the stimulus to end or decline.
What is positive feedback?
Positive feedback is feedback that enhances the original stimulus.
What is an example of positive feedback?
- Child birth
- Bleeding and forming a clot
What is an example of negative feedback?
- Sweating
- Goose bumps
What is vasoconstriction?
Constriction of blood vessels which cause the blood pressure to increase. Also draws the blood to the core which keeps it warmer.
What is vasodilation?
Vasodilation is when the blood vessels dilate causing the blood pressure to drop. It also helps to bring back the bodies temperature.
