Q

what does the sympathetic nervous system do

A
  • fight or flight
  • neurotransmitter = noradrenaline
  • SALIVARY GLANDS: saliva production reduced
  • LUNG: bronchial muscle relaxed
  • KIDNEY: decreased urine secretion

Q

what does the parasympathetic nervous system do

A
  • relaxing responses
  • neurotransmitter = acetylcholine
  • SALIVARY GLANDS: saliva production increased
  • LUNG: bronchial muscle contracted
  • KIDNEY: increased urine secretion
  • STOMACH: gastric juice secreted
  • SMALL INTESTINE: digestion increased
