mixture
A physical combination of two or more substances that are blended together without forming new substances.
solution
A mixture of substances that are blended so completely that the mixture looks the same everywhere.
colloid
A special type of mixture of which the particles are scattered through another and block the passage of light without settling out.
suspension
A mixture in which suspended particles can be seen.
emulsion
A type of colloid in which one liquid is spread throughout another.
aerosol
A type of colloid in which liquid drops or solid particles are spread throughout a gas.
gel
A type of colloid in which a solid is spread throughout a liquid.
foam
A type of colloid in which a gas is spread throughout a liquid.
homogeneous mixture
substances have completely disappeared in the mixture( constant or uniformed throughout)
heterogeneous
non-uniformed and particles can be seen
insoluble
the mixture isn’t clear, the particles can be seen and this is called a suspension
