5 Echelons of Care

Lvl 1 : Intital emergency care: Buddy aid, Company HM, BAS, STP.
Lvl 2: Intial resuscitative surgical care, FRSS and CRTS
Lvl 3: Resusciatative care, includes; Fleet hospitals, TAH’s and Army CSH’s.
Lvl IV: Definitive care: overseas MTF.
Lvl V: Rehab care includes CONUS facilities capable of rehab to fullest extent possible.

• Est. medical treatment facilities for RT & temporary holding.

• FRSS: provide life saving capabilities to support MAGTF ops on cont. 24 hour basis and 48 hrs w/o resupply.
