13. Master Class [7a] - The right time to trade & Scalping the UK/US Flashcards
What session should you always check first, at the start of your trading day, and why?
Asia, because it is the setup for the day
Vector candles that push price out of the zone mean what in terms of the previous accumulation zone that just got moved away from?
A big vector pushing price out of a zone means that zone probably won’t be revisited for a while
What can be said when trading around peak formations?
Don’t trade into the peak formation; trade away from peak formations
What is the tricky question we need to ascertain about the UK session behaviour?
Are they going to copy Asia or make a run for profit?
Lots of red vector candles in a single session indicate what?
That they want the lower prices
If there are many red vectors in a single session, what can you expect before price finally does move lower?
A push to the upside in order to trap more traders
The only way price can move lower is what?
Is if they trap the liquidity higher so they can make the run down lower and have the liquidity to follow through with it
When checking behaviour you will want a trend line based on what?
A key notable price, usually a half or whole number (or possibly volume-related level) and then see what action is happening in relation to this level
When you’re trading the brink, don’t act until what?
The final third of the session, after they have indicated their intention
What determines a block?
It’s an area that contains price action, moving averages, and some forming vector candles indicating market maker behaviour.
It’s effectively a block of behaviour then [me]
Every block contains a retace - true/false?
True
The last third of the UK Brinks gives a good opportinty for what?
For a block trade
When vector candles are recovered quickly (in the same block), what just happened?
Price got pushed without the longer-term intention to come back any time soon
What is achieved by understanding the Asian session?
You understand the behaviour of all subsequent blocks that happen throughout the rest of the day
When price is choppy and your scalping, what should be your trigger for exiting the trade?
The cross of the 5 and 13 EMA. If they don’t cross then the trade isn’t broken.
