  • the closure of remote indigenous communities across WA such as broome, hall creek etc. a few months later street protests occured all throughout WA and the governments decision being named a “cultural genocide” by aboriginal elders. this problem soon became a world intrest and had international support.
  • and yes it was succesful and the these small communities were able to stay open.
  • this is an important example becuase it shows that people can actively be involved in their community to bring about change.

compare and contrast freedom of assembly vs freedom of association

A

-freedom of assembly allows australians to gather in public or private to share ideas whereas freedom of association allows australians to join any associations pf their choosing providing its legal.
