Migration
The movement of people across a specified boundary, national or international, to establish a new permanent place of residence
Push factor
Negative conditions at the point of origin, which encourage people to migrate
Pull factor
Positive conditions at the point of destination, which encourages people to migrate
Refugees
People who are forced to flee their homes due to human or environmengal factors and who cross an international border into another country
Rural-to-urban migration
The movement of significant numbers of people from the country side to towns and cities
Remittances
Money sent back to their home communities by migrants
Voluntary migration
The individual has a free choice whether to migrate or not.
Involuntary migration
People are made to move against their will
