What is written representations?
A
It exists to back up other audit evidence. Not evidence in its own right
They are contained in a letter that is written by the auditor, signed by the company’s director prior to the completion of the audit work

What are some of the general matters?
A
Those charged with governance confirm they have:
Fulfilled their responsibility for the prep of the FS in accordance to the financial reporting framework.
Provided the auditor with all relevant information and all accounting records
Recorded and reflected all transactions in the FS.
Management acknowledges that the aggregated uncorrected misstatements are immaterial to the FS
