what is the first stage of DNA replication
A
DNA unwinds and the weak hydrogen bonds break between the bases, allowing the two strands to unzip into two template strands.
the two template strands produce a Y- shaped replication fork

A
complementary DNA nucleotides are added continuously to make one new strand
