What did reformers want to do?
They wanted to challenge the pope, which made people in power angry
What is the printing press?
A device that produces written work, it was created by a German inventor Gutenberg
What did it do?
Allowed authors to use languages in books. It impacted the reading audience and how many people read.
What did Martin Luther do?
Fought against the Roman Catholic Church, and against how they made you pay for forgiveness. He did not see the belief and saw it as a sign of greed. He posted the 95 theses in 1517.
What did Henry the Eighth do?
He is famously known as the king of England who had six wives and he divorced his first wife because he did not get a son. He was not allowed to divorce in the Roman Cathloic Church so he made a new one, so he could.
What led to the Age of Exploration?
New ideas were expressed in art and literature. They went out to find untouched land and convinced people to join their belief system.
