Point
Indicates a location and has no size
Represent a point by a dot and name it with a capital letter
Line
Represented by a straight path that goes in opposite directions with out end, contains infinitely many points
Plane
Represented by a flat surface that extends without end, contains infinitely many points
Collinear points
Points that lie on the same line
Coplanar
Points and lines that lie on the same plane
Space
The set of all points in 3D
Segment
Part of a line that consists of two endpoints and all points between them
Name it by it’s two endpoints
Ray
Part of a line that consists of one endpoint and all the points to one side of it
Name it by it’s end point and another point on the ray
Go in order of endpoint then ray point
Opposite rays
To rays that share the same point and form a line
You can name opposite rays by the shared in point and any other point on each ray
Postulate or axiom
An accepted statement of fact
Intersection
The set of points two figures have in common
