What is a Peer to Peer Network?
A Peer to Peer Network is when all clients act as a client and server everyone has direct connection to everyone else.
Advantage:
-Easy to Deploy
-Cost Effective
Disadvantage
-Difficult to administer
-Difficult to Secure
What is a Client-Server Network?
A Client-Server Network is when all clients(Nodes) are connected to the Server(Central Switch or Hub) similar to a Star Topology
What is a LAN and its Purpose?
A LAN is Local Area Network
is usually consist of multiple PAN within a room or building.
What is a MAN and its Purpose?
A MAN is Metropolitan Area Network
is usually Larger then a LAN but Smaller then a WAN
usually the size of cities
What is a WAN and its Purpose?
A WAN is Wide Area Network
is usually Multiple LAN connected together within geographical areas
What is a WLAN?
WLAN is the Same as a LAN but instead of connecting with wires it uses Wireless of 802.11 Frequency
What is a PAN?
A PAN is Personal Area Network concsist of small connection of computers, Smart phones and other IOT
with BlueTooth,IR,NFC
What is a CAN?
A Campus Area Network consist of LAN Expanding within Multiple Buildings usually seen within school and Universities but can also be seen in large organizations.
What is MPLS?
MPLS is Multi Protocol Label Switching
from the customer side its a way to connect multiple different sites together and allow communication.
from a Service provider its to put label on data as its traveling through their cloud to redirect traffic to its proper destination similar to a post office and mail
