12 Lead MI Localization Flashcards
1
Q
Anterior MI:
- Ischemic Leads
- Reciprocal Leads
- Occluded Artery
A
- V2, V3, and V4
- II, III, and aVF
- Left Anterior Descending
2
Q
Anterior Lateral MI:
- Ischemic Leads
- Reciprocal Leads
- Occluded Artery
A
- I, aVL, V5, and V6
- II, III, aVF, V1 and V2
- Left Anterior Descending
3
Q
Septal MI:
- Ischemic Leads
- Reciprocal Leads
- Occluded Artery
A
- V1 and V2
- V5 and V6
- Proximal Left Anterior Descending Coronary Artery
4
Q
Lateral MI:
- Ischemic Leads
- Reciprocal Leads
- Occluded Artery
A
- V5 and V6
- II, III, and aVF
- Left Circumflex
5
Q
High Lateral MI:
- Ischemic Leads
- Reciprocal Leads
- Occluded Artery
- Note
A
- I and aVL (Often w/ V5 or V6)
- III, aVF, V1 and V2
- Left Anterior Descending
- Ischemia will be greater in I and aVL than it will in V5 and V6.
6
Q
Inferior MI:
- Ischemic Leads
- Reciprocal Leads
- Occluded Artery
- Note (2)
A
- II, III, and aVF
- Varies (I and aVL)
- Right Coronary Artery (90%), and Left Circumflex
- If ischemia is noticed in V5 and V6, MI is most likely migrating laterally to left vent. However if pt presents with low BP assess for Right sided involvement.
- Look for Classic Triad:
> JVD
> Hypotension
> Clear Lung Sounds
7
Q
Inferiolateral MI:
- Ischemic Leads
- Reciprocal Leads
- Occluded Artery
A
- II, III, aVF and V6
- V1 and V2
- Right Coronary Artery and Left Circumflex
8
Q
True Posterior MI:
- Ischemic Leads
- Reciprocal Leads
- Occluded Artery
A
- V8 and V9
- V1 and V2
- Left Circumflex and Posterior Descending
- V! and V2 normal presents with downward QRS or positive T waves, when positive QRS or positive T waves are present look posteriorly.
9
Q
Right Ventricle MI:
- Ischemic Leads
- Reciprocal Leads
- Occluded Artery
- Classic Triad
A
- Right Coronary Artery and Left Circumflex (rare)
- V1 and V1R
- I and aVL
- Classic Triad:
> JVD
> Clear Lung Sounds
> Hypotension
