6km long, 45m wide - grows 10cm a year
-Made of sand, shingle and boulder clay
-Grows into humber estuary
-Grows a saltmarsh behind spurn point in humber estuary, retreating 6cm a year

  • Longshore bar develops and grows via sand deposition to form an island
