Network of paths along borders of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia used to supply Vietcong.

War Powers Act
Congress passed law requiring president to inform Congress within 48hrs of sending forces into a hostile area without a declaration of war. Troops limited to 90 day stay.
Haight-Ashbury
District in San Francisco where hippies lived.
How did men try to avoid the draft?
Flee to Canada or Mexico. State that they were homosexual and ineligible for the military.
What was the war like for US soldiers?
Hot jungle with little personal hygiene, limited food and water, and constant danger.
How did the Vietcong protect themselves?
Lived in tunnels
What weapons did the US use during the war? What effects did they have?
