Less abuse potential. High psychological, medium physical dependencies. Anabolic steroids, low dose of codeine.

Patient is in critical condition and requires immediate help.

Ultrasound
Imaging process that uses sound waves to create image of soft tissue.
MRI
Magnetic resonance imaging. Magnetic and radio fields to create image of body.
PET scan
Uses radioactive tracer, shows 3D image when combined with cat scan.
Glucose monitor
Measures amount of glucose in blood sample.
EEG
Electroencephalogram. Measures frequency of brainwaves.
EKG or ECG.
Electrocardiogram. Measures electrical activity of heart.
Vascular stress test
Physical test using EKG that determines capacity of veins to return blood to the heart.
Scheduling software
Services that book rooms, procedures and personnel.
Patient tracking software.
Records patient flow and medical status. RFID can be used to track location.
Order entry software
Creation, duplication, safety of orders given by providers. Helps automate and alert staff of conflicts of orders.
National drug code identifier.
Code assigned pro each drug by the FDA to maintain a list of drugs being produced.
Practice management software
Used in small or medium offices, often links with EHR. Included both clinical and business needs.

Digital imaging and communication in medicine. Digital image format.
OCR
Optical character recognition. Takes image of letters into text to be searchable.
Change control process (4 steps)
Development- test environment to create the change
QA/test- make sure change is functioning in test environment.
User test- using copy real data, to double check for errors.
Production- dial real use.
Continuity of care doc
Version of patients record for transmitting data, ready by human and info system.
HL7 message
Standard Message format of medical data to ensure that all devices and systems can read data.

Interface pipeline that connects two info systems.
