Q

Cleavage terms

A

1) Blastomeres - The smaller cells formed from the rapid mitotic division of cleavage.
2) Blastula - The sphere of cells formed by the Blastomeres by the end of cleavage.

Q

A

A series of rapid mitotic divisions immediately following fertilization. Each of those smaller cells is called a Blastomeres. By the end of cleavage, the Blastomeres have formed a sphere called the blastula.
