Routine Issuance Criteria (WST)

A
  1. Lines of thunderstorms >_ 60nm long w/ TSMS affecting >_ 40% of its length
  2. An area of active TSMS affect at least 3000 sq. Miles covering at least 40% of the area
  3. Embedded or severe TSMS expected to occur for more than 30 mins during the valid period regardless of size of the area.

A
  1. Tornado, hail >_ 3/4 in at surface, wing gusts >_50kts at surface
  2. Indications of rapidly changing conditions if, in the forecasters judgement, they are not sufficiently described in existing WST
  3. Special issuance is not required for a valid WST
