Benjamin Franklin started the first free libraries, writer of “Poor richards Almanac”, was the first postmaster general of the US, he was a US diplomat. Of course he was a founding father as well, a printer, an author, an inventor.

George Washington. He is also the first american president. He led the contintental army to victory against Great Britain during the American revolutionary war. He retired after the war to his farm in virginia, and later came back to service to help construct a new government.
