DURING APPROACHES CALLS ARE MADE ADDING 1000 FEET, AND 100 FEET TO THE DH OR MDA.
AS THE 100 FEET CALL IS DONE, ADJUST POWER TO LEVEL OFF.

  • FOR A PRECISION APPROACH, CALL “MINIMUM” AT THE DH
    · FOR A NON-PRECISION APPROACH, CALL “MINIMUM” AT THE MDA
    · CALL “OVERSHOOT” IN THE CASE OF AN OVERSHOOT AT THE MAP

NDB APPROACH

A

THE PILOT WILL MONITOR THE STATION FREQUENCY DURING ALL PHASES OF THE APPROACH IN ORDER TO DETECT ANY MALFUNCTION OF THE STATION, SHOULD ONE OCCUR AN OVERSHOOT SHALL BE PERFORMED.

WHEN PERFORMING A CIRCLING ON ONE ENGINE IT IS PREFERRED TO LOWER THE GEARS ONLY WHEN
ABSOLUTELY SURE TO LAND. USUALLY ON BASE OR ON DOWNWIND LEG IF LEFT ENGINE IS DEAD.
