What is the 2nd amendment?
Right to bear arms - use weapons to protect your property and yourself.
What is the 1st amendment?
Freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly, petition
What is the 3rd amendment?
Quartering amendment-soldiers to come into your house for you to care for them.
What is the 4th amendment?
Right to search in seizure- without warrant pro cause, the authority cannot go through your stuff
What is the 5th amendment?
Due process- you don’t have to stand or speak in court. When they say they plead the fifth, you don’t have to testify yourself on the stand.
What is the 6th amendment?
Guarantees a speedy trial, a lawyer, etc.
What is the 7th amendment?
Guarantees your right to a trial decided by a jury of 12 of your peers so a judge doesn’t have to decide all alone.
What is the 8th amendment?
Cruel and unusual punishment is prohibited.
What is the 9th amendment?
All the rights not listed in the Constitution belong to the people, not the government. In other words, the rights of the people are not limited to just the rights listed in the Constitution.
What is the 10th amendment?
The governmental powers not listed in the Constitution for the national government are powers that the states, or the people of those states, can have.
