Q

example for terrible loss

A

Ruth loss her husband and had no financial assets making her future unstable.

Ruth left her home country of Moab which made her support group extremely limited.

Ruth gave up her family’s upbringing of worshipping idols to follow after God.

God blessed Ruth’s loyalty to Naomi and her faithfulness to God by bringing her a kinsman-redeemer in Boaz.

Jesus would be born from Ruth’s lineage and become the ultimate kinsman-redeemer for all humanity!

Q

example for sin’s consequences

A

David allowed his eyes to look upon something sinful and then inquired to know more.

David did not heed to the warning of others, “ Is this not Bathsheba….the wife of Uriah?”

David sought to cover up his sin by allowing Uriah to go home to Bathsheba.

David’s sin led him to essentially killing Uriah by putting him at the “hardest fighting” of the battle.

All that David allowed to happen “displeased the Lord.”
