• It is inspired by the Holy Spirit, therefore it comes directly from God and reveals God.
• The Church teachesthat God speaks through both the Old and New Testament showing his charcater and commands.
• The Bible contains laws on how to behave, these laws are there to help people to live as God intendes, and so is authoritative inb showing Christians how God wants them to live.
• It brings people into a closer relationship with God by learning about what God wants and how God cares for them

Why do Catholics believe that God’s revelation culminated in the Incarnation?

• All the small revelations found in the Old Testament are summed up and made even clearer in the thee life of Jesus
• At the Incarnation, God made a compelte revelation of himself because the Son is an exact representation if God’s being.so nothing more can be revealed.

Why does God’s revelation in Jesus show about the nature of God?

• One whos main characteristic is love as he loved the world so much that he became flesh in Jesus Christ.
• One who forgives - he was prepared to die on the cross to bring forgiveness for the worlds sins
• One who meets people where they are as seen in the way he made disciples of all types and classes of people
• One who bring healing, whether in body, mind,spirit or health as seen in many miracles he performed whilst on Earth.
• One who wants people to have eternal life, which he showed by rising from the dead.
