• Extra requirements for controlled drugs
• If an NHS prescription check that the medicine is reimbursable on the NHS
• Record any problems in the designated space on the worksheet

4) Undertake clinical checks

• Ensure that medicine prescribed is appropriate/ safe for patient (right indication)
• Check dose in the BNF
• Consider patient: age, weight, sex, ethnicity, any medical conditions and other medication
