What are the 9 steps to safely set up and adjust the flame of a Bunsen burner ?
- Put your safety glasses on
- Connect the Bunsen to the gas top
- Adjust the collar until the air hole is partially open
- Light a match
- Turn the gas tap partially on
- Light the gas
- Extinguish the match
- Adjust the collar until the yellow flame is burning
- With your teacher’s permission rotate the collar of the Bunsen to create different flames.
