What is Public Opinion?
Collective preference of citizens regarding an issue
- education, health, war
- race, gender, media, religion, class affects it
What is Political Culture?
Rooted beliefs of citizens re politics in their country:
Type 1: no interest
Type 2: knowledge but no participations (authoritarian regimes)
Type 3: aware participation (democratic states)
What are elements of Political Power?

- Sovereignty
What is Majoritarianism?
Majority of people should have last say or power in decisions making process
What is Pluralism?
Political power should be held by groups (lobbies, unions, interest groups)
What is Elitism?
People with most resources (wealth + education) should have power i.e. CEO
