1 Basic Technical Concepts Flashcards
when we have voltage and resistance in the circuit. how can we find current?
we will devide voltage by resistance to get current.
when we have current and resistance in the circuit, how can we find voltage?
by multiplaying resistance and current, we can drive voltage
when we have volgate and resistance in the circuit, how can we find current?
by dividing voltage by current we can get current.
describe the series circuit.
A series circuits is a circuit with only one path of current flow.
describe the Parallel circuit.
The parallel circuit is the circuit that current has more than one path to flow.
In the parallel circuit, each branch acts as if it was a separate circuit.
what value stayes the same through series circuit?
current stays the same through series circuit.
what happenes to the series circuit if one of the connections get interrupted ?
the circuit will stop. since the current has only one way of flow and if in any part it is interrupted, the electrons will not go back to ground and the circuit will be (open) not complete. at that point voltage potential is same as the surce therefore circuit will not work.
how can we calculate the total resistance in the series circuit?
by summing all the resistors in the circuit.
Explain Kirchhoff’s current law: in parallel circuit
the current flowing out from a junction point is equal to the current flowing in and the total current is equal to the sum of all the branches currents.
how to add two resistors in parallel circuit ?
total resistance of the two prallel circuit = (R1*R2)/(R1+R2)
to add more you can add two then add one at a time. for example
total resistance of 3 resistores can be
=((R1||R2)*R3) / (R1||R2) + R3)
using the formulat that can calculate voltage across each resistor with out having a currentin the branch
(R1*Et)/Rt
voltage of R1 = resistance of R1 * total voltage of the branch then deviding the value by total resistance of the branch.
give a formula the we can use to find the current of each resistor in a branch without finding the voltage.
What is Power in electrical circuit?
The power is the rate of electricity usage
What is Watt?
The unit of measurement for electric usage: The Watt is the rate of electricity usage.
The formula for watt is ( Watts = voltage X current )
if we have current and voltage how can we find the power
voltage * current = power.
