1 - AWS Database Services Flashcards
This service makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale a relational database in the cloud. It provides six database engines to choose from: Aurora, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Relational Database Service (RDS)
This is a fast and flexible NoSQL database service for all applications that need consistent, single-digit millisecond latency at any scale. It is a great fit for mobile, web, gaming, ad tech, Internet of Things (IoT), and many other applications.
DynamoDB
This is a web service that makes it easy to deploy, operate, and scale an in-memory cache in the cloud. The service improves the performance of web applications by allowing you to retrieve information from fast, managed, in-memory caches, instead of relying entirely on slower disk-based databases. Interestingly, it is not an AWS proprietary solution and runs the standardized Redis or Memcached solutions.
ElastiCache
This is a fast, fully managed, petabyte-scale data warehouse that makes it simple and cost-effective to analyze all your data using your existing business intelligence tools.
