Phenoxybenzamine
Non selective alpha 1,2 antagonist
Uses: before removal Pheochromocytoma ( which releases NE + epinephrine)
ADRS: 1- postural hypotension
2- reflex tachycardia ( by baroreceptor reflex)
Phentolamine
Non selective alpha 1,2 antagonist
Uses:
before removal Pheochromocytoma ( which releases NE + epinephrine)
ADRS: Mainly sexuality problems
1- inhibits ejaculation 2- Headache 3-Nasal stiffness or congestion4- 4-Male sexual dysfunction 5- Increase cardiac-output (α2 block) 6-Decrease peripheral vascular resistance.

Doxa zosin,Tera zosin ( long)
α1- selective antagonists:
Uses:
1- Raynaud’s disease
2- Hypertension (especially with prostate enlargement)
Tamsulosin(usroselective)
α1- selective antagonists:
Uses:
1-Selectively used in Benign prostatic hyperplasia with minimal effect on blood pressure
ADRS as non selective but less degree
Yohimbine
Alpha 2 selective
Used as aphrodisiac* (the treatment of erectile dysfunction)
MOA: Increase NO &ADH
released in the corpus cavernosum
