What is the order of the scientific method?
- Observe a phenomenon
- Form a hypothesis and prediction
- Test through empirical research
- Draw conclusions
- Evaluate

William Wundt
What is the purpose and function of the endocrine system?
It’s basically set of glands (ovary, thyroid, hypothalamus, pancreas, etc.) that release hormones(chemical messagers) to regulate the activities or certain organs by releasing chemical products

Brain and spinal cord
What are the parts of the eye?
Lens, pupil, iris cornea, retina (look up diagram page 98)
What is the difference between the independent variable and the dependent variable?
The independent is the one the science changes to see what happens to the dependent.
The dependent is the outcome the independent is the factor changed by scientist
Variable is anything that can change
What are placebos used for?
The control group. It has no effects.
What are Neurons?

Skin
Why does the blind spot of the retina lack “rods and cones”?
Because it is the location where the optic nerve exists the retina
What’s is the goal of the scientific method?

It is responsible for making new memories
What does the part of the brain called the thalamus do?
Relays sensory information
What does the part of the brain called the hypothalamus do?
It keeps the body systems in a steady state
What is the difference between control groups and experimental groups?
Experimental groups receives drug or treatment but the control is treated exactly the same as experimental but doesn’t receive the drug(independent variable)
What are the main qualities sounds can be differentiated?
Loudness, pitch, timbre
Factors that describe color?
Hue, brightness, saturation
